History
My passion for serving individuals with special needs started when I was a child. My loving mother has special needs. As a young child, I was cognizant of my environment. I noticed my mother's interactions with the world differed from those of other adults. At this stage in my life, I could not comprehend my mother's diagnosis. However, I knew my mother needed extra care, so I willingly accepted the responsibility.
I have been a caregiver and advocate for my mother for the majority of my life. With my rich personal and professional experience as a Mental Health Professional, my mission is to provide quality person-centered care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.
Our team of competent, caring, and compassionate providers look forward to welcoming you to our family. We have been providing quality care you can trust since 2020.

What are HCS and TxHmL?
HCS and TxHmL are Medicaid waiver programs that supply services and support to Texans with an intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD) or a related condition so that they can live in the community.
HCS and TxHmL services are intended to supplement rather than replace services from other programs, such as Texas Health Steps, or natural supports, such as families, neighbors, or community organizations.
Who provides HCS and TxHmL services?
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) contracts with public and private entities like Greater Impressions Residential Care to provide HCS or TxHmL services. HHSC regularly monitors providers to ensure the quality of services. When enrolling in the HCS or TxHmL program, applicants choose their provider from a list of available providers in their area. Individuals can change providers at any time, even if they move to another area of Texas. Under the consumer-directed services option, individuals can also hire and train their own service providers.
Who can get txhml?

FAQs When Picking a Provider
When an individual finally gets approved, they are fast-tracked to pick
a provider within 30 days, with little to no knowledge of what HCS offers or what to look for in an HCS Provider.
The Local ID/DD Authorities typically don't explain every HCS service option and cannot encourage anyone to pick a particular provider. Thus, you are left to search the HCS provider list without any help.
Many are instructed to pick an HCS provider from a very long list, only to find that their calls can go unreturned for several days or weeks.
Many describe the process as making them feel stressed, abandoned, and overwhelmed.
How can we help you navigate this process?

Texans with IDD need and deserve quality care, and without emergency funding from the Texas Legislature, the current workforce crisis for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) will result in vulnerable Texans being left behind.
